Thoughts about my babies

Lately I have been recording things the girls do, say and the milestones they hit. It has been fun to reflect and see them, unique and different at each stage and age.

Malin Nicole:
- I love her joy and excitement about things ( ie when cousin  Grady slept over she was grinning ear to ear awaiting his arrival)
-you are hilarious
- you are thoughtful
- I love how you play with Josephine, and how you speak to her
- I love how you look out for your sister
- I love that you get excited for school
- I love your strength: I see you in   certain situations (where I would have had a hard time) and you are not even phases
- I love your expressions and attempts at a sassy attitude
- I love your amazing memory
I love you!!

Josephine Ann:
- I love your "scrunch face/nose look" you've been doing for months now
- I love that you're a good listener
- I love that even though you don't say too many words, you understand so much!
- I love your sweet blond hair, finally growing a bit!
- I love how you get so excited when  Daddy comes home from work
- I love how you play with Malin, and want to do everything she does
- I love your already exhibited sense of fashion
- I love your ability to do your own thing, and be content playing solo
- I love your determination, and "laid back-ness"

I've learned so much from you both in these last 3.5 years. I pray these qualities stay with you throughout your life. All of your strengths and weaknesses, for they make you the wonderful being God created you to be!

Freshly Picked and Freshly Delivered!

I am  thankful to have had the opportunity recently to review and enjoy one of my favorite brand of children's shoes! A company we all know well, and if you don't, you are sure to very soon!

Freshly Picked Moccasins: Weathered Brown Color

I figured Josephine (17months) was the perfect candidate to test out these shoes. She is active, climbing on anything she can find and loves to be outside! What better way to  evaluate these shoes then putting them into action! When these moccasins arrived I was impressed with the detail and beautiful packaging. Immediately I put these shoes to work! I love the softness of the leather, and they slip on easily, and feel very comfortable. Even with the easy slip on, I have seen that they do not easily come off! Although Josephine has been walking for a few months now, I think the softness of the shoe continually helps her with balance and is an important part of muscle and foot development! They have withstood many walks on concrete, sand, park playgrounds, and a few stints with sticky moon sand! The moon sand was my biggest worry, but it easily came off with some water, and left no stain or marking.
I can hear you saying.. "but, they'revery expensive and kids grow out of their things as quickly as they will arrive!" Yes, they are a bit of an investment for a children's shoe.. At the same time they are handmade, good quality, and as I said before, they are durable! They should last you through one kid and on to the next! Go over to Freshly Picked, check out the great selection of colors, follow their fun posts on Instagram, and enjoy this company and designer.. Be Inspired!

The Happy Customer :)

January Birthday Extravaganza!

January in our family is filled with birthdays of some very special people. This year we celebrated our sweet nephew Grady's 4th Birthday, Papa's and Auntie Coley (ages will be left out of these last two.. ha ha)! They happen to fall within a few days of each other, which makes celebrating VERY fun!

We enjoyed a joint birthday party and special family time. I am so very thankful for each one of these individuals....

Grady.. brings so much life to every situation. He is full of energy, enthusiasm, thoughtfulness, kindness and love. We love you G Man~
Papa... I cant quite describe all my Dad is to me, Garrett or the girls. He is a solid rock, a support, encouragement, and a kind and gentle spirit. Also, a WONDERFUL Papa to Malin and Josephine. We love you!
Coley... We love Auntie Coley. She is thoughtful beyond words, funny, kind, and beautiful inside and out. So glad we got to celebrate with you!

To many more January Extravaganzas!

Sadly the REAL winter weather has not yet arrived to our Golden State. Yes, unfortunately  that has made our state stay GOLDEN and not lush and green like the Northwest!
We are longing for some rain but until it arrives we will do our best to enjoy the beautiful sunshine! We've been going to the beach, playing outside with water and bubbles and spending endless hours at the park! We enjoyed a recent visit with Grandma and Grandpa for two long weekends, which was a real treat! This year has taken off on a great start of adventures and family time, and I look forward to many more as the months pass! This month will be filled with Birthdays and parties, and hopefully in return many blog posts!

Until then..

Continuation of Fall and then some..

Fellow bloggers and blog followers.. I might not be a consistent blogger or update as frequently as we both would like... BUT when I do I sure love re-living these sweet memories and thoughts!

Fall/ Winter has been a busy and wild season over at Faye Farms! As any holiday with kiddos can be, it has been filled with new adventures, memories and added wonder from the perspective of a little one! From pumpkin patches to Christmas Tree lighting's and Nutcracker shows! I have thoroughly enjoyed this season of life, not only the holidays and the glitter that sparkles in the eyes of my girls but the pace at which they are changing and learning!  Malin is 3 1/2 and Josephine almost 15 months. It is in the last month or so that I have been able to sit back and watch them play together as sisters, and interact well to one another. Ive enjoyed listening to Malins conversations and solo play times with her toys and dolls. How shes speaks kindly and her interactions are sweet and special to witness. Josephine is becoming more aware of things, understanding what we say and listening! She is not too vocal with her words but I can tell she is understanding what we are saying and how she responds has been a fun change to see in her this last month.

A few glimpses into the girls:

Malin
-3.5 and VERY proud!
-Loves dancing, and does ballet around the house anytime she can!
-Loves to play school, and is a very good teacher.
-Calls Josephine - Jo-Fine ( I'm starting to think she believes this is her real name)
-Has memorized many Christmas songs this year and has proceeded to sing them all day and every day! My favorite has to be her version of "Hark the Herald Angel Sing"
- Has become very good at writing letters and counting in Spanish! ha

Josephine
- Molars have come! Hasn't been quite as bad as Malin's teeth  (still debating whether this amber teething necklace is to thank!)
-Started walking about a month ago, and hasn't stopped since. She is on the go, but I think shed prefer to climb to the top of  every table and counter!
-Has a gentle, quietness about her. Is content playing alone and just exploring herself in the midst of a group of people/kids
-Loves being around Malin, but seems to be a bit of a "pot stirrer" haha
-Loved the Christmas tree, ornaments and EVERYTHING

Photos coming soon!

Happy New Year to You All!
